Watchout Operator

The WATCHOUT Operator is responsible for creating and managing the different media elements in a live or live to tape show and then playing it back on multiple screens within the set. 




  • Plan, install and use WATCHOUT in a multi-channel display solution
  • Use more advanced features of WATCHOUT, such as auxiliary timelines, alpha/keying, and blend/geometry correction, compositions
  • Understand and use virtual displays, tiers and control and interact with external units
  • Understand basic 3D mapping processes
  • Perform rudimentary trouble-shooting.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • College Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Dataton or similar software in a live television environment including entertainment and sports programming.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Must provide documentation that permits to work in the United States
  • Interested candidate must submit a resume.
  • Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, late breaking news and hurricane emergencies.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
  • Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
  • Interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
